Creative Apprenticeships at Birmingham Hippodrome

Get on-the-job training, study for a nationally recognised qualification and earn money while you learn.

Getting paid while you learn might sound too good to be true – but as an apprentice at Birmingham Hippodrome that’s exactly what you’ll do. You will combine the hands-on experience of working with qualifications you’ll gain by studying. Embarking on our one year Creative Apprenticeship will be challenging and exciting. Apprentices will be trained while employed – the training will ensure you achieve at least Level 2 National Award Creative Apprenticeship. This qualification and work experience will help you gain employment or achieve further qualifications in the future.

We operate apprenticeships in Cultural and Heritage Venue Operations* working front of house in our Customer Services department, Contact Centres working in our Box Office and Technical Theatre (Rigging, Lighting and Sound) working in our Technical department. Apprentices will be employed on a one year fixed term contract on a weekly wage of £224.05.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old (18 years old for Technical Theatre apprenticeship) and this government funded scheme does not allow us to offer a place to any applicant with a degree qualification or equivalent.
