Bournville Junior School Bournville Junior School visited Birmingham Hippodrome as part of their Learning Journey theme of “Showtime”. “ Many Thanks to Liz and her team for another exciting visit to the Hippodrome. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring “behind the scenes” and gained a great deal from the activities. They particularly liked having a real ticket and finding their own seat in the auditorium and acting out their stage name on stage. This experience had provided a wealth of work for their leaning journey “Show Time” We do hope we can visit again next year.” - Anne Henson “ On Thursday we went to the theatre. We made stages names like , Wonky William. We got to go backstage and into the boxes. We did some acting and had to find our seats. It was great fun” - Oliver 5S “On Tuesday 5H and 5M visited the Hippodrome and went backstage. We saw the props , scenery , dressing rooms and prompt desk where they use lights to signal when to do different things e.g. when to put scenery on the stage. We sat in the Queens box , the last time she came to the theatre was in was 1999 when some of us were born! We also got to sit in the auditorium in both the stalls and circle, we received our tickets and found our seat. We also did a drama activity where we had to act out scenes for other people to guess. We acted out a football match , overall we had a brilliant time!” - Philip and Jake 5H “Thank you for inviting us to Birmingham Hippodrome. We enjoyed it very much. We all liked going backstage and seeing the costumes and the props. We enjoyed having the real tickets and finding our seats , also sitting where the Queen sat . We enjoyed all of it especially making our stage names and acting them out. We would very much like to visit again. Thank you for having 5H we very much appreciated it.” - Chloe and Wonju 5H |

Sutton Coldfield College BTEC National Diploma Dance students from the 1st and 2nd year, attended a workshop with Paul from Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo.
"We thouroughly enjoyed the day at Birmingham Hippodrome. Especially having the privelage to take part in a Workshop with the companies Ballet Master. The highlight of the day was to have the opportunity to go backstage and watch the company do their hair and make-up, and have the chance to ask questions to which they gave some honest and very entertaining responses. Thank you Liz and your team for giving us this experience."
"We would like to show are appreciation to Liz and her team at the Birmingham Hippodrome for an inspiring and invaluable experience for both our students are ourselves. The day consisted of many unique insights into the life of a professional dancer, which developed our students enthusiasm and passion for dance.
